The Honor Magic V5 was announced on July 2, 2025, and released shortly after, reclaiming the title of the thinnest and lightest "book-style" foldable phone. It builds on the success of its predecessors by refining the design and packing a host of new features to compete directly with other top-tier foldables.

Ultra-Thin and Lightweight Design
The Magic V5 is a significant engineering feat. When unfolded, it measures an incredibly thin 4.1 mm, and when folded, it is only 8.8 mm thick, making it as slim as many standard smartphones. It weighs just 217g (for the Ivory White model).
Dual Flagship Displays
It has two exceptional screens. The inner, foldable screen is a massive 7.95-inch LTPO AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5000 nits, which is exceptionally bright. The outer screen is also a large 6.43-inch LTPO OLED with the same 120Hz refresh rate and high brightness, making it fully usable as a regular smartphone.
