Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or placing an order. By accessing our site or submitting an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. This document governs both our price comparison services and our retail sales of mobile devices.

1. General Website Use (Price Comparison)

1.1. About Our Service: We provide a comparison service for contract mobile phones, SIM-only deals, and broadband packages. The information on our site is intended for guidance only. While we work to ensure the data is accurate, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of all information provided, as prices and offers are subject to change by third-party providers.

1.2. Third-Party Contracts: Any contract for the purchase of a product or service you enter into after leaving our website is solely between you and the respective third-party provider. We are not a party to that contract and do not accept any liability in connection with it.

1.3. Affiliate Links: Please be aware that some links on our site are affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if we make a purchase through those links. This arrangement does not influence the objectivity of our comparisons or the price you pay.

2. Retail Sales and Warranty

The following terms apply when you purchase a device directly from us, meaning the transaction is completed entirely within our website’s checkout process, and not via a third-party link.

2.1. About Us: The sale of new and refurbished mobile devices is conducted by Phones.co.uk, a trading name of Sissco Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Company Number: 06636481. VAT Number: 466875533. Registered Office: 5 Prospect Place Millennium Way Pride Park Derby DE24 8HG.

2.2. Buying a Device from Us: By submitting an order through our site, you warrant that the device(s) you are purchasing comply with these terms. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

2.3. Pricing and Payment: The prices for products will be as quoted on our site. Prices are subject to change but will not affect any order for which you have received a Dispatch Confirmation.

  • Prices include VAT (where applicable) but do not include delivery charges.
  • We will not process your order until we have verified your payment and confirmed that the device is in stock.
  • In the event of an obvious and unmistakable pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.
  • For orders with devices marked as 3 to 5 days or longer delivery, payment will be processed at the time of order. If the order is not fulfilled within 14 days of this payment, we will contact you to ask if you would like a full refund.

2.4. Order Confirmation and Contract:

  • After you place an order, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging receipt. This does not constitute acceptance of your order.
  • The contract is formed when we send you a "Dispatch Confirmation" email, confirming that your products have been shipped.
  • If we are unable to supply your products, we will inform you by e-mail and refund you the full amount paid.

2.5. International Delivery: We do not deliver to addresses outside of the UK. You may place an order from outside the UK, but the delivery address must be within the UK.

2.6. Price Match Promise: Any Price Match offers are subject to the following conditions:

  • The product and its specifications must be identical to the competitor's offering.
  • The competitor's price must be publicly available on their own website and not on auction or marketplace sites, e.g., Amazon, eBay, etc.
  • We are unable to match any offer code discounts on refurbished items or items purchased using finance.
  • The Price Match offer is only valid on the day it is issued and cannot be combined with other offers.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a price match if the conditions are not met.

3. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

3.1. Our 30-Day Returns Policy:

  • You have 30 days from the date of receipt to return a device for a refund, provided it is in the same condition as when it was issued and is unused.
  • All accessories and free add-on products must be returned in the same condition.
  • Before returning an item, you must obtain a Return Authorisation (RA) number from our customer service team at [email protected].
  • After receiving an RA number, place the item securely in its original packaging, and mail your return to the following address: Phones.co.uk Returns Dept, 5 Prospect Place, Millennium Way, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8HG, United Kingdom.
  • You are responsible for all return shipping charges and must use a trackable method. We are not liable for lost or damaged returns.
  • Please remove all personal data, SIM cards, memory cards, and account locks (i.e., iCloud, Google, Samsung accounts) before returning the device. Failure to do so may delay or prevent the processing of your return.
  • A partial refund may be provided if the returned product does not meet these terms.

3.2. Returns Process: Before returning an item, you must obtain a Return Authorisation (RA) number from our customer service team. You are responsible for all return shipping charges and must use a trackable method. We are not liable for lost or damaged returns.

3.3. Data Responsibility: You are solely responsible for backing up and removing all personal data, SIM cards, memory cards, and account locks (e.g., iCloud, Google, Samsung accounts) before returning a device. Failure to do so may delay or prevent the processing of your return.

3.4. Refunds and Exchanges: Refunds are processed to your original payment method after the returned item is received and inspected. We only replace items that were supplied defective or damaged, and you must contact us within 24 hours of receipt to arrange an exchange.

4. Warranty

4.1. Refurbished Device Warranty: All refurbished devices purchased from us are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. For any defects reported after the initial 30 days, we will, at our sole discretion, either repair or provide a replacement device. This warranty covers issues arising from defects in materials or workmanship, not misuse or accidental damage.

4.2. Warranty Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:

  • Any damage to hardware or software (e.g., liquid damage, drops, viruses).
  • Normal wear and tear, or cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality.
  • Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or "jailbreaking" of the device.
  • The battery after 3 months from the date of purchase.
  • Water damage, even on IP-rated devices.

4.3. New Product Warranty: New products carry a standard 12-month manufacturer's warranty. Please refer to the manufacturer's warranty information for details on how to make a claim.

5. Liability, Data, and General Terms

5.1. Your Data: It is your sole responsibility to back up and remove all personal data and security locks from your device before sending it to us for any reason. We accept no responsibility for any data loss, corruption, or security breaches that may occur.

5.2. Lost or Stolen Devices: Selling a device you do not own may be a criminal offense. We will check the IMEI/Serial number of all devices against a database of lost and stolen property. If a device is flagged, it will be held for 28 days for an investigation, and you will not receive payment for it. The device will not be returned to you.

5.3. Limitation of Liability: We are not responsible for any indirect losses, such as loss of profit or data, that occur as a side effect of a main loss or damage. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product you bought.

5.4. General: We may amend these terms at any time. The most current version will be available on our website. These terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
