Larger and Brighter Display
The S22 Plus features a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, a significant upgrade in size from the standard S22's 6.1-inch screen. Critically, it also has a much higher peak brightness of 1750 nits (compared to the S22's 1300 nits), making it exceptionally easy to view in bright sunlight.
Fast Charging
While the base S22 was limited to 25W wired charging, the S22 Plus supports 45W wired fast charging. This allows the larger battery to charge from empty to full much more quickly, a major convenience for users on the go.
Powerful Performance
The S22 Plus is powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Samsung Exynos 2200 chipset. Both were state-of-the-art processors at the time, ensuring smooth performance for gaming, multitasking, and demanding apps.
Versatile Triple-Camera System
The S22 Plus has the same excellent camera hardware as the base S22: a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This versatile setup gives users all the tools they needed to capture high-quality photos and videos in a variety of conditions, with the added benefit of Samsung's "Nightography" features
Wi-Fi 6E Connectivity
The S22 Plus was one of the first phones to support Wi-Fi 6E, an extension of Wi-Fi 6 that utilises the 6 GHz band. This provided faster speeds and less network congestion, especially in urban environments.
All-Day Battery Life
With a larger 4,500 MAh battery, the S22 Plus is able to easily last a full day of heavy usage, a notable improvement over the more compact S22. This, combined with the faster 45W charging, made it a very practical and reliable device for all-day use
