UK Mobile Networks: Expected Price Rises in 2025

As we move into 2025, several UK mobile networks have announced upcoming price increases. Here’s a summary of what customers can expect:

 

EE

  • - Effective Date: 31 March 2025
  • - SIM-Only and Airtime Plans: Increase of £1.50 a month
  • - Handset Plans: Increase of £1.50 a month
  • - Connected Devices (e.g. tablets, smartwatches): Increase of £1.50 a month
  • - Broadband Plans: Increase of £3 a month
  • - TV Plans: Increase of £2 a month

For customers on contracts initiated before 11 January 2024, EE will continue to apply annual price increases based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) plus 3.9%.

 

Vodafone

  • - Effective Date: 1 April 2025
  • - Basic Plans: Increase of £1 a month
  • - Other Plans: Increase of £1.80 a month
  • - Home Broadband Plans: Increase of £3 a month

Customers who joined or upgraded before 2 July 2024 will experience price increases linked to inflation, specifically the CPI rate published in January plus 3.9%.

 

O2

  • - Effective Date: 1 April 2025
  • - Pay-Monthly and SIM-Only Plans: Increase of £1.80 a month
  • - Smartwatch and Mobile Broadband Plans: Increase of 75p a month

For customers on contracts initiated before 8 February 2024, O2 will apply annual price increases based on the Retail Price Index (RPI) plus 3.9%.

 

Three

  • - Effective Date: 1 April 2025
  • - 4GB or Less Data Plans: Increase of £1 a month
  • - 5GB to 99GB Data Plans: Increase of £1.25 a month
  • - 100GB or More Data Plans: Increase of £1.50 a month
  • - Broadband Plans: Increase of £2 a month

 

Sky Mobile

  • - Effective Date: 14 February 2025
  • - Out-of-Contract Customers: Increase of £1.50 a month

In-contract customers will not be affected.

 

Networks Without Mid-Contract Increases

Some providers have chosen not to implement mid-contract price hikes in 2025, offering more stable pricing for their customers. These include:
